2.1 Feeling lonely and looking forward to more care
Children and grandchildren are often busy with life. This makes the elderly feel forgotten, abandoned. They really want their old age to be happy with their children and grandchildren. They want to be seen by others as a useless person. They really want to be cared for by many people and worried about them and vice versa. They are afraid of loneliness, afraid of being home alone. Therefore, we should act gently, and do not let the elders feel they are rejected or abandoned. Because they want to impart life experiences to their children and grandchildren, and want their children and grandchildren to live according to their generation’s morality, they often make mistakes, talk a lot and sometimes make others uncomfortable. The elderly are often quite hot-tempered and self-centered, easy to have self-esteem, or have negative thoughts, so their mentality is often impatient. After retirement, old people are often depressed, losing sleep, so their spirit is in decline and often stressed. Due to the weak tendon and bone system, decreased function of balance, and reflexes, the elderly are more likely to fall. The consequences of falls in the elderly are often much more serious than in young people, often causing major injuries to bones and skin, and comorbidities that make it difficult to recover. In the elderly, some diseases such as osteoporosis are often accompanied by age-related changes such as slow self-defense, so falling, even a very normal fall, becomes dangerous. Falls are one of the main causes of disability in the elderly.
2.9 Easy to get infected, especially cross-infection
As we get older, the weaker immune system becomes more difficult for the elderly to adapt because the immune system is weakened. At this time, the elderly are very susceptible to respiratory diseases, especially susceptible to Covid-19 infection.
